Children and Anxious Patients

We pride ourselves on our ability to work with children of all ages and patients who may be a little nervous

Anxious patients

When it comes to your visit to the dentist do you get a little nervous? Does the smell of the surgery put you off? Perhaps you don’t like the noises? Maybe it’s simply the fear of the unknown? No matter what your reasons are for disliking the dentist, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

At Queen Street Dental Surgery we pride ourselves on our compassionate nature and our ability to make our patients as comfortable as possible. We appreciate that the whole experience can be a little unnerving and will always do everything in our power to put your worries to rest.

If you are particularly nervous about a visit to our surgery please inform a member of our team when you book your appointment. That way we can prepare for your visit and discuss mild sedation if necessary.

Children

When it comes to your child it is extremely important you are ensuring they clean their teeth twice a day for at least 2 minutes. While you can’t do much about adult teeth coming through a little crooked, you can minimise their risk of developing tooth and gum disease.

If your youngster requires braces once their adult teeth are fully developed, our dentists are able to administer the necessary orthodontic treatment to help straighten them out – typically through the use of braces. Braces can be fitted to adults too, not just children.

Both Dr Edres and Dr Al Fadel thoroughly enjoy seeing children in the surgery. With over 60 years’ experience between them, you can rest assured they’ve got a trick or two up their sleeves to keep their younger patients entertained during their dental health checks.
